GM 🌞
GM GM Readers,
We interrupt our usual programming for a very special reflection. 💛🫡
We are sharing an outline of our next phase of exploration in Web 3.
Over the last 8+ months of writing, we dove deep into the foundations of Web 3. We wrote about a bunch of concepts and segments across Web 3. Everything from Metaverse, to NFTs, to what it means to share value with users.
Now that we have the foundational concepts covered, we are entering the next phase of our exploration.
We will start writing essays that try to combine concepts together in a few different ways.
Some concept types:
Project Deep Dives where we look at a project through some of the “whys” we’ve explored in Web 3.
Imagining how Web 3 technology can be applied in ways that haven’t already.
Taking multiple concepts and smashing them together with our imagination.
A key theme in this next phase will be writing with Web 3 projects in mind, either featuring some specific projects or thinking about how we can use our writing to be helpful to founders.
(We talk to a lot of founders. Some of us in the collective are even founders ourselves… just saying)
🤷♂️
Why are we doing this?
Because our writers in the Life in Color collective come from a very diverse set of backgrounds. Our collective is life in color.
So, with a group of diverse writers, some of whom are
Building in Web 3
Investing in Web 3
Teaching in Web 3
Writing in Web 3
In Web 2
looking to
make the leap
into Web 3 🧗🏻♀️
… we can take unique perspectives on many different topics across Web 3.
That was / is the whole point to starting Life in Color: to write with people from different walks of life and explore Web 3 from multiple different angles.
🖋
(Some of) the New Writers in the Collective
We’ve been hard at work looking for amazing people to write with. Here are some of our new writers:
Will who is a Fintech and DeFi Investor. He already collaborated with us on the stETH Depegging piece
Dan who is an emerging investor focused on LATAM and Diverse Founders
Zi who is bringing social and curation to drive Web 3 adoption
Sahil who is changing the future of decentralized reputation
Jack who is a technical infrastructure expert and validator
AB who is an edTech expert and disruptor
JK who is a Proof of Stake Expert
Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
🧊
What this means for our dear readers? (a.k.a you)
We know many of you are new to Web 3, and we actually see writing for this audience as a responsibility.
It forces us to look at Web 3 from different angles and challenge ourselves as we explore concepts behind this nascent field. At heart, we are doing this to bring the next [🚀insert large number🚀] into Web 3.
If you were a skeptic, this next phase is for you. In this next phase, you’ll learn about actual projects bringing to life a world we’ve written about philosophically. (Btw, we like skeptics).
And please don’t go at this alone. Web 3 is a lonely journey if you make it one. 🥹 😭
Bring a friend along, send them: Life in Color and ask them to subscribe! 🙏

Life in Color Community
Lastly, we’ve written a lot about how communities power everything in Web 3.
Web 3 is supposed to reward the community.
Well, you are our community.
And we like to think we are Web 3.
We are at the early stages of bringing together the community and thinking through a few experiments.
More on this at a later date though, hang tight. #WAGMI

Thanks for sticking with us through this journey!
Deeper into the rabbit hole we go.
